Primary Research Area: I have research interest in medicinal and traditional plants and their pharmacological potential, their bioactive compounds and phytochemicals that may be responsible for their pharmaceutical roles and the mechanism by which the potentials occur, effect of these plants on diseases such liver, kidney and heart diseases,  diabetic conditions, lipid associated diseases and reproductive system. I am particularly concern with plants or herbs that can improve any disease or conditions associated with male reproductive system that can cause male infertility such as sperm and testicular toxicity, hormonal imbalance, poor ejaculation and low libido etc. I also have interest on gene editing, chemical biology and pharmaceutical biotechnology.

Duties and Responsibilities

My primary duty is teaching undergraduates courses such as pharmacological biochemistry, food biochemistry, molecular biology and industrial biochemistry etc. I am an academic adviser of students who advise and direct them in their academic affairs and career path. A project supervisor since 2017 till date who direct and guide students in their project and also assist them in the laboratory for some biochemical analysis such liver marker enzymes, kidney markers and lipid profile. My duties also include data collection/analysis, thesis and manuscript writing for publications, attend research meetings, scientific conferences, courses and trainings
