To be admitted into the Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology, the candidate would have satisfied the University Minimum requirement. The candidates should in addition, have the UME requirements of (five) Ordinary Level Credit Pass in West African Senior Secondary Certificate (WASC), General Certificate of Education (GCE) or National Examination Council Ordinary Level (NECO) in not more than two sittings. The credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. A pass in JAMB UME that meets the Departmental cut off mark, determined by the University and Post UME Screening test are required.
Direct entry students admission is based on combination of O’Level results with the following qualifications:-
Candidates with qualification in OND, HND and NCE in Upper Credit may be admitted in 200 Level, while candidates with HND Upper Credit and NCE with distinction may be admitted in 300 level.
